Could be fun to have a steam box too and run some more graphic intensive titles as they find fitting. I'm mostly just after the random indie steam titles, good old session of shower with your dad simulator, maybe some drunken genital jousting with a few friends. So my idea was to convert the old workstation into a Lakka console, for those who don't know, Lakka is a linux distro that uses Retroarch as it's front end and basically makes any computer into a 'PS3 looking' front end for retro games, which would be awesome, however this computer is a bit of a power house for just running emulators so I don't need to hook up any of the old consoles when we want to play games on them, so I was playing with the idea of running Steam OS instead, now that will only allow me to play steam games (not forza or halo) but we're content with those Microsoft titles on the xbox, so those are good enough. A little back story, I got laid off from my old job fixing computers a little over a year ago, and my old workstation was suppose to be the 'livingroom gaming machine', but no one wants to use a keyboard and mouse to load up a game and seeing as we only play Forza or Halo, we always just default to the xbox because it's just easier for everyone to control the entire thing with a gamepad, if we ever want to play spyro, crash, etc, we fire up the ol dusty PS1, and N64 has been down for the count since I lost the AV cable, haven't felt the need to source one locally for how little we want to play it because of having to hook everything up everytime.
